The pleasant autumn weather in Tokyo may be perfect for food gatherings, sports events and other outdoor fun, but artistic and cultural happenings are just as much a part of the season as are beer festivals and baseball playoff games. Just like last month, we've dug through the heaps of exhibitions, art fairs, performances and concerts to bring you our top picks for October, and plan to return with one more roundup in November.
Highlights for this month include a special autumn edition of Roppongi Art Night and the return of the community-minded Teratotera festival, but you'll also want to catch this combo of jazz and classical music, watch traditional performing arts in Nihonbashi and check out sculptures by British titan Anish Kapoor.
