Rock salt cheese tea... er, what?

We seem to have developed a little crush on the new Cascade Harajuku shopping complex. We've already queued for London's famous Lola's Cupcakes and now we're dreaming of the rock salt cheese tea at Taiwanese café Saisabo, which also opened on October 3.

It sounds like an unlikely combination, we know, but think of it as a dessert drink with a hint of salt and a dollop of sweet cream cheese froth on top (you won't be downing chunks of Mozzarella). There are three versions to choose from and the flavours combine surprisingly well to create a smooth refreshing tea. We want more.

In addition to the variety of Taiwanese drinks on the menu, you'll also find authentic dishes here too, including Rurohan (a minced pork dish with rice) and ever-popular Danzai noodles. For dessert, try the signature Taiwanese jelly called 'ogyochi'. They also offer takeout options for those just passing through.
