Suffering from brain damage after being shot during a robbery, an armored-car driver (Leguizamo) becomes obsessed with tracking down his attackers, despite the best efforts of his loving wife (Perez) to guide him back to physical and psychological health. Filmed on the cheap on the streets of Los Angeles and buoyed by gritty performances from Leguizamo and especially Perez, this winning combination of neighborhood indie and old-school Hollywood B movie is the kind of film that doesn’t flinch from the sight of a bullet being removed from human flesh.Author: Joshua Land
