Time Out says

Whether you’re looking to learn how to bake and decorate gourmet cupcakes or simply enjoy eating them, Butter Lane is the place for you. Their most popular Cupcakes 101 course is an excellent choice for beginner bakers or those who want to sample the widest variety of cake and icing flavors (and who doesn’t want that?). In this workshop, students will make three cupcake recipes, including three cakes and six icings. Students will enjoy the experience of baking in a high-end kitchen, complete with an industrial convection oven and high-quality ingredients.

Butter Lane also offers a variety of cupcake workshops throughout the year that correspond with current holidays and seasons. Their previous calendar has included classes like a Mother’s Day baking class, a Halloween Cake Pop workshop, and cookie decorating classes for Easter and Christmas. There are also couple’s baking classes available throughout the year, which makes for a fun and unique date night. All classes are limited to a maximum of 12 people to ensure each student gets to take an active role in the baking process.

Although they’re most well-known for their unique, high-end spin on classic cupcake flavors, Butter Lane also offers full-sized cakes for any special occasion. They are also available for private parties, which are a great option for things like bridal parties, birthdays, and baby showers. There are also classes specifically designed for children interested in learning how to bake. Students 12 and older can attend alone, while students who are ages 6-11 must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Butter Lane has received numerous positive reviews from former participants. People who describe themselves as beginner bakers report that the instructions were clear, and they felt they learned a lot about the baking process. The instructors are also frequently praised as being kind, patient, and attentive, making sure to check in with each group individually to offer support and answer questions. Students also loved the fact that they got to take home a batch of delicious, scratch-made cupcakes!
