This Chicago restaurant was just crowned one of the most beautiful in America

A good choice indeed.

In an interesting collaboration, OpenTable teamed up with the folks at PEOPLE magazine to find the most beautiful restaurant in each state in the U.S.

The results are, well, beautiful: The full list, which you can find right here, features some of the most astounding eateries in the country, from rustic trattorie to chalets atop mountains to the sort of urban destinations that focus on the views just as much as they do on food.

In Illinois, the top honor was bestowed upon Italian restaurant Tre Dita.

Located inside the St. Regis Chicago and boasting a menu by celebrity chef Evan Funke, the latest Lettuce Entertain You hotspot shells out Tuscan-inspired dishes in a gorgeous dining room that looks over both Lake Michigan and the Chicago River through 40-foot windows. Tre Dita is, indeed, the epitome of beauty. Even Phil Rosenthal has vowed to visit the spot on his next trip to Chicago!

In a separate but related article posted last month, OpenTable also shed light on other gorgeous Chicago restaurants. Without ranking them, the outlet praised a vast variety of eateries on a list that certainly does the city justice.

You can read through all the entries right here, but we'd be remiss not to call out some of our own favorites, including Boka Restaurant Group's modern Japanese standout Momotaro in the West Loop, Michelin-starred Elske by wife-and-husband team Anna and David Posey and the always-chic 3 Arts Club Cafe at RH Chicago.

Clearly, the Windy City is home to a ton of fabulous restaurants.
