Time Out today announces the launch of a nationwide city roll-out of its website. Time Out’s unique insider knowledge and expertise will extend beyond London with new sites launching in six of the UK’s biggest cities.

Beginning with the launch of the Manchester site today, other cities to go live this year are Edinburgh at the end of October, Leeds and Glasgow in November. Bristol and Birmingham launch in early 2015. The new, mobile responsive websites will encourage locals and visitors alike to go out and make the most of their cities

Each new city will have its own local editor who will curate content from local experts. Rob Martin is the Digital Content Producer for Time out Manchester and Time Out Leeds, ensuring that both websites offer the very best and up-to-date information for each city.  Rob has worked for various organisations in and around the North, including Cornerhouse, The Lowry and, most recently, Manchester International Festival as Digital Marketing Manager.

Time Out are also launching an extensive blogger network to run on individual city sites. This will cover a number of topics such as food, drink, music, art, style and entertainment. Combining Time Out’s unique editorial voice with the insight of passionate local experts, Time Out will review the most interesting and exciting events in the area and tap into the heart of each city’s cultural communities.

Unique local content from each city will be joined by national content from the main Time Out London site, including film and music reviews.  All content will be digital-first to ensure that users can get the inspiration they need to expand, enrich and enjoy their social lives on the go.

Rob Martin, Digital Content Producer of Time Out Manchester says:  “Over the years Manchester has given birth to some great cultural icons and has always been a city with an enormously rich pool of homegrown talent. With Time Out Manchester we want locals to discover new parts of the city whilst encouraging new visitors from all over the UK. I’m hugely excited to be involved in unlocking the city’s potential and sharing insider recommendations to showcase the best that this city has to offer.”

Tim Arthur, CEO Time Out Group says: “Time Out has always had its finger on the pulse of what’s new and what’s best, and following our successful city-roll out in the USA it was only natural to do the same in our home country. The UK is home to some of the most vibrant and culturally rich cities in the world. We're incredibly excited about this next phase in Time Out's evolution. From Manchester to Moscow, from Leeds to Los Angeles Time Out is inspiring people to make the most of their incredible cities”

The launch of Time Out Manchester is supported by an outdoor and online campaign, created by My Agency, planned and bought through Sold Out, across the city’s transport system, cultural hotspots and high traffic areas. The online media will use a combination of audience and search retargeting across desktop and mobile, through networks such as Blis Mobile, Radium One and Captify. .
