For decades, Coca-Cola has been a part of iconic food and culture moments – from films to music hits and more. Today, Coca-Cola is unveiling Foodmarks, which celebrate newly-created global "food landmarks" inspired by culture, created with the real magic of Coca-Cola. Launching across the world, Foodmarks are destinations and experiences with a recipe of three key ingredients: the perfect moment, the perfect meal, and an ice-cold Coca-Cola.  To launch the campaign, Coca-Cola will debut five immersive experiences globally, each inspired by a captivating moment in culture. The debut Foodmarks will invite people to rediscover the magic created during the original moment – from the time Marilyn Monroe was photographed enjoying a hot dog and a Coca-Cola from a New York City street cart, to scenes captured in the Hong Kong film “The God of Cookery.” More than 400 Foodmarks are highlighted at launch in cities and neighborhoods around the world, with more being added over the coming weeks, brought to life through a unique partnership with Time Out. New York tops the sixth annual list of the Best Cities in the World, released by Time Out today. The city ranked highly across the board for the quality of its food and cultural scenes, as well as its beauty and everything it offers making residents happy. New York was also by far the city that the most urbanites from other cities would love to live in, with 15 percent of all survey respondents globally saying they’d relocate there in a heartbeat: proof of its continued status as ‘capital of the world’. Time Out’s annual list of the Best Cities in the World provides inspiration for travel this year, but also a global snapshot of city living, with an emphasis on the factors which Time Out believes make cities great places to live and visit.  Each year, Time Out - the global media and hospitality brand that helps people experience the best of the city - surveys thousands of locals to get a unique insight into the reality of living in the world’s greatest cities right now. This year, city-dwellers were asked about the quality and affordability of the food, culture and nightlife scenes in their city and how their city makes them feel, from happiness to romance. Bristol tops the list of Time Out’s Best Places to Visit in the UK in 2024

Today, Time Out has released its list of the 15 best places to visit in the UK in 2024, with Bristol taking the top spot for its combination of picture-perfect streets, a bustling nightlife scene and its cultural offering going from strength to strength in 2024. There’s something for everyone in this southwesterly city, including a musical adaptation of the film ‘Starter for Ten’ coming to the renowned Bristol Old Vic theatre; the launch of DIASPORA!, a brand new festival showcasing BIPOC global ethnic majority artists across theatre, dance, music, visual and digital arts; Undershed, a new immersive gallery; and the opening of street food, beer and event space, Boxhall. Next on the Time Out list comes Hull, which has become a surprising capital for the UK’s LGBTQ+ community in 2023, with an influx of new gay bars and clubs including Monroe’s, Unit 49 and Cherry’s in the city’s ‘Freedom Quarter’. In addition, there is a picturesque old town plus lots of indie art galleries. In November, the latest site opened: Time Out Market Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront – the first Time Out Market to open on the African continent. The Time Out Market portfolio currently comprises seven open Markets (Lisbon, New York, Boston, Chicago, Montreal, Dubai and Cape Town) with a further eight signed and due to open between 2024 and 2027 (Porto, Barcelona, Bahrain, Vancouver, Abu Dhabi, Osaka, Prague and Riyadh); several new sites are also in negotiations. In a few years, once all currently signed Markets are open, the portfolio will more than double in size, spanning a total of 600,000 sq ft and over 250 kitchens across all sites. The World’s 20 Best Cities for Culture right now according to Time Out

Today Time Out has released its first ever ranking of the World’s Best Cities for Culture – with Mexico City taking the crown as the world’s cultural capital right now.  Mexico City locals praised their city for the quality and affordability of its culture scene, and rated very highly the Mexican capital’s mighty array of museums – including the grand Palacio de Bellas Artes and the iconic Frida Kahlo Museum – many of which are permanently free, or offer free entry on Sundays. The world-renowned Día de Muertos street parade and the Festival del Centro are annual events that CDMX locals and visitors alike look forward to each year.  Prague came next, with locals dubbing its simply stunning architecture a veritable outdoor museum. Cape Town came in third – ranking highest of all cities in one of the two criteria used for the ranking, the quality of its cultural offerings. This was followed by Buenos Aires, whose theatres were praised as must-visit cultural destinations.
