Maybe Jennifer Aniston wants to show the world what a lo-carb diet and yoga seven days a week can do for a girl. I can’t think of another half-decent explanation for her desperate-looking strip tease half-way through ‘We’re the Millers’ (no, nothing to do with the plot). Aniston is Rose, a stripper who reluctantly agrees to help her drug-dealer neighbour (Jason Sudeikis) smuggle marijuana over the border from Mexico. Their high-risk strategy is to go deep undercover – disguised as wholesome midwestern American tourists. A couple of delinquent teenagers (Emma Roberts and Will Poulter) are roped into playing their fake kids. They’re the Millers.

This could have been so much funnier. The Millers’ act is going great guns until they meet the genuine article on the road: a Bible-bashing family in beige slacks and fanny packs. But with jokes cloned from bad taste movies (the lamest of all is when Poulter gets bitten on the balls by a tarantula) and off-kids-telly villains, it doesn’t even qualify for dumb fun.
