This month sees the launch of Everyman Cinema’s new programme of late-night screenings, which will be showcasing a variety of iconic films throughout September and October.

For fans wanting to re-live the experience of watching their favourite films on the big screen, or for anyone wanting an introduction to some of the most celebrated films in recent cinema history, the list of classic cult movies includes award-winning indies as well as a number of blockbusters.

Here are some of the highlights we can look forward to over the coming weeks:

Reservoir Dogs, Saturday September 5, 11pm

The season starts on a high with Quentin Tarantino’s triumphant ‘Reservoir Dogs’. Featuring an all-star cast including Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth, this film is littered with iconic movie moments. Come for the Ray Bans and stay for the disturbing ear removal.

Tarantino’s film has become a permanent fixture on ‘must-see film’ lists everywhere and as he will be one of the big names marking the start of 2016's cinematic calendar with ‘The Hateful Eight’. This is a great time to revisit him at his best.

Whiplash, Friday September 25, 10.30pm

Whiplash might be the most recent release on the programme, but given its success earlier this year, the movie seems to have already earned its place in cinema history.

Following an aspiring jazz musician struggling under the pressure of being mentored by one of the fiercest but most revered tutors on the scene, 'Whiplash' is a brutal and dramatic film that earned JK Simmons an Oscar. It has only recently exited the multiplexes, but this is the perfect opportunity to catch up if you missed it.

Clueless, Saturday September 26, 10.30pm

Some light nostalgic relief (particularly for all the ’90s kids) comes in the form of ‘Clueless’. Celebrating its twentieth birthday this year, 'Clueless' has become known as the ultimate encapsulation of the decade.

This American teen drama earned itself a long-running TV series and has well and truly permeated pop culture with its unforgettable costumes and timeless soundtrack. As it’s loosely inspired by the events of Jane Austen’s ‘Emma’ it could also pass as educational for students of all ages!

Ghostbusters, Saturday October 24, 11pm

Thirty-one years on from the original theatrical release of 'Ghostbusters', director Paul Feig recently revealed he would be giving the much-loved comedy classic an all-female facelift for the 2016 reboot. Until then, what better time to look back at where the journey first began than this late-night screening?

When New York comes under attack from paranormal forces, three scientists are called in to save the day (who changed the Halloween costume landscape forever). The comedy features another all-star cast and one of the most memorable theme tunes ever.

The Everyman's late-night series also includes one of the most renowned gangster movie of all time, ‘The Godfather’, followed closely by one of the most quotable (ironically given its cardinal rule) films of recent times, ‘Fight Club’. Tom Cruise will be inspiring our need for speed in ‘Top Gun’, and what better time to enjoy ‘Back To The Future’ than October 10, 2015 – almost the exact date that Marty McFly travels to in the film.

Everyman is also offering a ‘Three Seater’ price where three seats can be purchased for £15.00; perfect for an alternative night out for returning students and cinema enthusiasts alike.
