Calling all comic-book fans! Following on from the recent MCM Comic Con event at the NEC, Brum's superhero-loving citizens are in for another treat.

Castle Fine Art Galleries today (March 28) launches a special exhibition of Stan Lee's Marvel comic-book covers. Entitled Superheroes, you'll be able to feast your eyes on a super-sized collection of covers from the legendary Spiderman artist.

The artworks, which are all available to buy, include those famous covers – the main, eye-grappling weapon wielded by comic-book artists to grab an audience – from Captain America, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Avengers and more.

Marvel is now in its seventh decade and has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a small department of a publishing house. Stan Lee, now 92 but still involved in comic-book creation, kickstarted Marvel's expansion during an era referred to lovingly by comic-book junkies as The Marvel Revolution.

With total annihilation seemingly never far away these days, we need superheroes now more than ever. So get yourself to Castle Fine Art Galleries from Saturday March 28 until Sunday April 12 and find a little solace in these iconic characters.
