From the sublime to the ridiculous - alongside a chance lovely portrait by Louis le Brocquy is the kind of kitsch you find in Sunday's open-air Merrion Square market. 'Eclectic' is the best description for the Apollo, but there really is something for everyone, and it's probably the only gallery in Dublin where you can still haggle, making it absolutely worth a visit.

Bought a painting there with a buy-back clause in the contract and discovered later that they were refusing to honour the contract - people had to take them to court to get the repayment. They since shut down and re-opened as the Duke Street Gallery. Totally untrustworthy - a family called the Charltons involved.
