A modern venue with an old-style feel, Vicar Street has comfortable seating, sensitive lighting and a great sound system. It was recently expanded to hold 1,000 punters, but has lost none of its intimate atmosphere. The spacious pub in the front and the little bars hidden in the corridors are handy, too. Acts include Bob Dylan, Kanye West, Rufus Wainwright, Calexico and Al Green, as well as big-name jazz and comedy acts and top local musicians.
