The National Stadium was a popular venue in the 1970s and '80s, with everyone from Led Zeppelin to Van Morrison playing here. It holds a seated audience of 2,200 and has a large stage, but has never had a great sound system. Gigs here are now quite rare; it has largely returned to being a sports venue.
