Restored to its original location on Essex Street (after a temporary spell across the river in Bloom Lane), this political bookshop takes its name from James Connolly, Ireland's socialist pioneer. As you might expect, it stocks contemporary leftist writing (it is the official bookshop of the Communist Party of Ireland), plus books on Irish history, feminism and philosophy. It's popular with Gaelic speakers too.
