Holyrood Park Information Centre review Rate it

Housed in an old stone lodge, this unstaffed information centre has displays on the park's history, geology and archaeological features, along with useful leaflets and up to date information about wildlife. It shouldn't be confused with the similarly named Holyrood Park Education Centre, a modern building just east of the Palace of Holyroodhouse perimeter wall; this latter facility serves as a base for the park rangers and police, and is not generally open to the public. However, park rangers do run guided walks and other activities.

I would like to say a huge "thank you" to the very nice gentleman I spoke to on Monday afternoon regarding a female duck and her ducklings who were waddling along the side of the wall at Spring Gardens - I was so worried that some dog/cat/fox would get a hold of one or all of them - don't know how they would get back to the pond!! Anyway, the gentleman I spoke to (didn't get his name) assured me someone would go and check out the situation. Hope it had a happy outcome - thank you so much.
