Biffy Clyro have been confirmed as the headliners for this year’s Hogmanay Concert in the Gardens in their only UK performance of 2015.

They’ll take to the stage at West Princes Street Gardens to ring in 2016 as part of the Hogmanay celebrations. It’s not the first time they’ve taken part in Edinburgh’s Hogmanay event – they also headlined back in 2010.

‘We are so happy to come out of musical hibernation to kick off 2016 with the show on Hogmanay,’ say Biffy Clyro. ‘We want to rock off the cobwebs and prepare for the year of da biff!! Nothing can compete with Edinburgh's celebrations and we hope to make it a special night for everyone!’

They’ll be joined by indie heroes Idlewild, who released their eighth studio album ‘Everything Ever Written’ earlier this year. Slacker-rock duo Honeyblood will open Concert in the Gardens, rounding off a big year for the group which included supporting the Foo Fighters at Murrayfield and touring with Belle & Sebastian in the US.

Tickets for Concert in the Gardens go on sale Friday September 25 at 10am. Pre-sale tickets will be available from Wednesday September 23 - to sign up, visit the Edinburgh's Hogmanay website before 9pm on Tuesday September 22.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations will also feature the world famous Street Party and the Torchlight Procession.

Concert in the Gardens, December 31 9pm-1am. Enclosure tickets (in front of the stage) £55, Gardens tickets (surrounding the Enclosure) £49.50. Tickets on sale Friday September 25 at 10am, not recommended for under 16s.
