Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Ex-racing ace Robertson and his mechanic sidekick (Garrett), a couple of down-on-their-luck Yanks touring New Zealand with a stunt team, are enlisted by a concerned scientist (Harrow) to race a deadly virus to a remote rendezvous, safe from unscrupulous clutches. Director Morrison straps a camera to their souped-up Trans Am, hurtling along the highways of South Island, pursued by a grisly assortment of baddies, CIA agents, and military. The whole thing is really an excuse for a series of finely executed daredevil stunts, but what holds it together is the tongue-in-cheek direction and humorous ensemble playing. No masterpiece, but we's only out for some fun, ain't we?
