Asterix & Obelix Mission Cleopatra

Edifis (Debbouze) is a stammering young Egyptian whose awkwardness belies a talent for architecture. Not enough talent, however, to help him meet the deadline set by Cleo (Bellucci), who's anxious to have Caesar's palace completed in time to win a bet. Edifis seeks assistance from druid Getafix, who's persuaded to come to Egypt with his magic potion - and his chums Asterix and Obelix. The by now well-honed humour includes movie references and anachronistic modern-culture gags alongside the trademark 'Asterix' wordplay (somewhat lost in translation). But there's enough feelgood japery plus some satisfying scrapping to keep British viewers chortling.
