Nutcracker (1982)
Director: Anwar Kawadri
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Collins, Britain's most durable nutcracker, plays the head of an international ballet company; an unlikely establishment, more suggestive of a discreet casino or hairdressing salon than anything terpsichorean, but lending itself nicely to a handful of desultory shower scenes and the machine-washable eroticism of Lycra and leg warmers. Nicholas plays a leather-jacketed photo-journalist out to scoop a shot of a defecting Russian dancer (Hughes) who has holed up at Madame C's...but the minutiae of the plot are, to put it kindly, elusive.Author: JS
