Wildcats (1986)
Director: Michael Ritchie
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Football-crazy Goldie Hawn gets her wish to coach a high school team, but there's a catch. It's the roughest, toughest school in the city: Dobermans patrol the halls. Greeted with universal derision by a team of no-hopers, Goldie's got her work cut out for her; but sticking to her credo that 'you can be anything you want to be', she's soon kicking ass. Goldie's inspirational shot at playing Sly Stallone and Burgess Meredith is undone by the trite, inner-city Hollywood context she always favours. Instead of 'believe in yourself', the message becomes simply 'make believe'.Author: TCh
