From Time Out Film Guide

A handsome young man arrives at a suburban mansion to give guitar lessons to an attractive teenage girl, and before you can say plectrum her mother launches into a grand seduction. But does her formidable husband know? Is their curious neighbour sane? Who is video-taping their affair? And who is the man following the guitarist? An elegant, teasing narrative unfolds, complete with elliptical dialogue, sleight-of-hand editing, and poised performances all round. A sophisticated entertainment from French stylist Deville, whose films have been little seen here since the '60s period romp Benjamin. DT.
