The Desert Song (1953)
Director: H Bruce Humberstone
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The third movie of Sigmund Romberg's operetta in three decades - and if the result (adapted by Max Steiner) is utter tosh, at least it's utter tosh done dead straight. Full-throated Kathryn Grayson is the general's daughter who takes her time in realising gentleman anthropologist Gordon MacRae, the object of her affections, is also moonlighting as El Khobar, daring leader of North Africa's rebel contingent.Author: TJ
