Duffy (1968)
Director: Robert Parrish
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Parrish, it has been observed, was a director happiest when dealing with outsider figures, but above all in need of a good scriptwriter. Donald Cammell, who co-directed Performance, looked to be just the person to provide him with his best opportunity since Wonderful Country, made ten years earlier. The script promisingly featured a dropout ex-criminal, enlisted to aid two English boys in robbing their own millionaire father; and an excellent cast was assembled. The results were woeful: the last word in modishness, and the final nail in the coffin of '60s pop.Author: CPe
