Bats (1999)
Director: Louis Morneau
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Mutant flesh-eating bats terrorise a Texas town and, it seems, the government has something to do with it (cue an anti-genetic modification message?). Diamond Phillips' sheriff joins batty zoologist Meyer and her dim assistant Leon in an effort to eradicate the creatures, alas, to no avail. Time to call in the troops. The bat attacks are a series of violent camera pans rendering everything a blur; the continuity and computer-generated imagery is dire; and the dialogue stinks, as do the performances.Author: DA
