Crows (1994)
Director: Dorota Kedzierzawska
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A charming if sad film about a ten-year-old girl - mischievous, brave, isolated at school, and hungry for the love denied by her mother - who decides to run away 'to the end of the world', abducting a four-year-old with whom she recreates a kind of mother-daughter relationship. Beautifully shot, the film might seem a little too studiously poetic were it not for young Karolina Ostrozona's performance: vibrant, touching, natural, and totally free of sentimentality.Author: GA
