When a collision on the ice robs Olympic ice hockey player Doug Dorsey (Sweeney) of his peripheral vision, his life falls apart. Kate Moseley (Kelly) is one of the most talented and temperamental figure-skaters in the world, her sights fixed firmly on winning gold at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Her only problem is that she can't get a regular partner. In desperation her trainer turns to Dorsey, but can the former sportsman forget his old ways, acquire a new skating style, overcome his natural loathing for his new partner, and win gold at the Olympics? What do you think? A lobotomised ice-skating obsessive (since many of the skating sequences are choreographed by former Olympic gold medallist Robin Cousins) might find something praiseworthy in all this predictable, ham-fisted, romantic tosh.Author: NKe
