Greetings (1968)
Director: Brian De Palma
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
De Palma's third feature freewheels andjump-cuts its three weirdo leads through a late '60s obstacle course of draft-dodging, sex and assassination politics, picking up more than its share of unforced laughs on the way. A quintessential Movie Brat apprentice piece. Godardian disruptions, documentary coups, peeping-tom Hitchcock incisions: the film school textbooks and movie house memories assimilated, evaluated, turned inside-out and spring-cleaned, with only the budget to keep it all streetbound. Silly and substantial.Author:
