From Time Out Film Guide

Honey Daniels (Alba) is a tirelessly caring, effortlessly talented young dance teacher/bar worker with a mastery of street talk. Offered a job grinding her hips on a pop promo, she discovers that her choreographic skills far outshine all the professionals in the business. But her flashy director turns lecherous, proving that big business cannot be trusted and that home is where the heart is. Can Honey raise the funds to start a dance school to keep the local drug-dealing kids off the streets? This is fairy tale stuff, its saintly HipHop heroine far too worthy for comfort and its dialogue hilariously banal. Pink and pretty wish fulfilment for MTV tots, it's not unlike the Britney Spears' vehicle Crossroads. Enjoyable dance scenes and cameos aplenty for those in the know, with Ginuwine, Jadakiss & Sheek and Tweet all appearing.
