Miracles (1985)
Director: Jim Kouf
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Conti and Garr have just got divorced when they both, yes both, collide with a Mexican bankrobber on the run from the cops. He takes them hostage and flies off to his homeland, only to bale out when the plane runs out of fuel, leaving them to crash-land in the desert. But that's only the start of the non-stop, near-fatal disasters afflicting the couple. It's hard to win laughs with a script that is sitcom predictable; that aims for thrills with widespread destruction without ever making you care about its imperilled characters; that thinks kooks of all kinds saying 'sonofabitch' every half-minute and screaming at full volume are actually amusing.Author: GA
