Scandalous (1983)
Director: Rob Cohen
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Feeble comic flummery, shot in London from a tourist's-eye view, as TV reporter Hays tangles with madcap blackmailers Stephenson and Gielgud while trying to extricate himself from suspicion that he murdered his wife. Passing '80s pop sensations Bow Wow Wow drop by for a number, while master-of-disguise Sir John does himself up as a traffic warden, a Japanese businessman, and a leather-clad punk, bringing a particular poignancy to his line 'Just give me the money, dear boy, and let's be done with this nonsense.' Many a true word spoken in jest.Author: TJ
