From Time Out Film Guide

Training on waste ground surrounded by the flotsam of a travellers' caravan site hardly seems the first step to Olympic boxing glory, but such is the real-life Rocky story uncovered by this engaging Irish documentary. Director McGrath followed the progress of 19-year-old amateur light welterweight Francis Barrett for more than two years, and the sunny good nature of this quietly spoken pocket destroyer has you rooting for him in no time.
