Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Before embarking on Star Trek II, Paramount engaged in market research to see whether fans would tolerate the demise of Mr Spock. In the event he was indeed killed off (though not permanently). Here the Vulcan is very much alive, aiding his buddies from the old starship Enterprise in their sluggish fight against a malignant force field headed Earthwards. For non-addicts, the smart plot and effects go some way towards compensating for the plastic characters and costumes.
