Richie Rich (1994)
Director: Donald Petrie
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Richie, heir to billions, must defeat villainous Van Dough (Larroquette) who's taken over the benevolent family business and plans to murder the parents. Happily, Richie (Culkin) is a rebellious Little Lord Fauntleroy, and has buddied with a bunch of tough ethnically mixed street kids. Aided by a laser gun and inventor Prof Keenbean (McShane), the youngsters rout the baddies. Richie's faithful British butler (Hyde) does the usual with the role and, like Gielgud before him, is demoted to leathers. Unendurable.Author: BC
