Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Alec Coppel's play The Gazebo transposed to studio-bound France. About a writer who pretends he's writing a murder story but is in fact attempting to carry out the perfect crime, it is often predictable and sometimes repetitive. Some surprising gems, nevertheless: Bernard Blier as the Hitchcockian inspector, for instance; and de Funès, operating in that difficult area where everything is forced into the determinedly lightweight, is a unique farceur.
