Adoption (1975)
Director: Márta Mészáros
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Unmomentous portrait of a woman in middle-age, whose unsatisfactory romance with a married man and involvement with a delinquent girl from a nearby remand home lead her to consider adopting a child. It's a welcome change to find such a character as the subject of a movie, especially when she's as well played as she is by Kati Berek. But the direction stays locked in the hoariest 'social realist' tradition and constantly verges on cliché.Author: TR
