Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This starts in deceptively rambling fashion by following a schoolgirl and her younger brother on a series of sort-of adventures in a wintry small town. Then summer comes, and an overnight family picnic, and through the kids' sleepy eyes and ears we gain glimpses into tensions typifying the experiences of many rural folk in an era of globalisation and mass migration. Moral inquiry, wry comedy and sheer cinematic poetry make for a film whose modest form conceals a sharp mind and a wonderfully generous heart.Author: GA
