Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Clearly a personal movie for Anders, this goes horribly awry. Kim Dickens is okay as the hard-living rock chick Sherry McGrale whose career might just be about to take off - if only she can stop getting arrested for drunken misdemeanours, and finally lay the ghosts of that teenage gang rape that still haunt her. Anders' courageous treatment of abused sexuality is not what you might expect, but the narrative framework is cheap and tinny. Mann gets the worst of the flea-bitten script as the world's limpest rock journalist, Owen, sent down to Florida to interview Sherry, and at the same time get something off his chest.
