Lucas (1986)
Director: David Seltzer
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Refreshing teen movie that takes the side of the dweebs. Lucas (Haim) is an awkward 13-year-old, more Adrian Mole than Luke Perry. He befriends and falls in love with an 'older' woman - 16-year-old Kerri. But she betrays him for the school football hero, attractively played by Charlie Sheen. More subdued and much more honest that any of John Hughes' egregious forays into adolescence, the film's only drawback is an artificially upbeat ending.Author:
