Movie review

From Time Out Online

Not so much a conspiracy thriller as a searching study of the conflicting moral, emotional and legal considerations – and self-serving ambitions – encountered by lawyer Kerry Fox when she’s employed to nail the case at the Hague against a Serb on trial for war crimes. Tough enough given unreliable witnesses, UN red tape and Serbian nationalists desperate to conceal past acts; but how much can she ask of and imperil a young Bosnian (Marinca) now in Berlin keen to put aside horrors long left behind? Solid, intelligent, relevant fare, albeit with too many red herrings designed to create extra suspense. Fine, affecting performances throughout, too.
