Gambit (2012)

Director: Michael Hoffman

Average user rating

Synopsis

Joel and Ethan Coen script this remake of the Michael Caine/Shirley MacClaine comedy. Colin Firth takes the role of art curator Harry Deane, who teams up with PJ Puznowski (Cameron Diaz) in a plot to sell a fake work of art. Meanwhile Alan Rickman should be spot-on casting for Lord Shabandar while Tom Courtenay and Stanley Tucci also appear. With ‘The Last Station’ director Michael Hoffman at the helm, this could be a decent British comedy with a bit of Hollywood pizazz courtesy of Ms Diaz.
