Clear your calendar for the August Bank holiday weekend – you'll need it free for the Garden Party Leeds, a brand new two day music and food festival.

In 2005, the Faversham hosted its first Garden Party, an event which has since grown to become one of the most esteemed cultural events in the north.

For its tenth anniversary, the Garden Party promises to be even bigger and better than ever, having evolved into weekend festival at the Tetley that will feature immersive art, street food and live musical performances from the very best live acts and DJs.

Amongst many others, the impressive line-up will include performances from Roisin Murphy, Swedish electronic group Little Dragon, Soul II Soul and hip hop legend Mos Def.

Festival goers will also get the chance to hear DJ sets from Mr. Scruff, dance floor favourite Julio Bashmore, musical pioneer Grandmaster Flash, Kerri Chandler and the bloke that used to be in 'Red Dwarf' and 'Coronation Street', but also happens to be a well-loved soul and funk DJ, Craig Charles

Away from the tunes, the Garden Party Leeds will offer culinary delights too, courtesy of a selection of street food vendors curated by the Leeds Indie Food Fest. This means ice cream from Northern Blocwood fired pizza from Pizza Fella, quirky sausage dishes from Bangers and Bacon and more.

Finally, to complete the treat to your senses will be installation art, games and other creative craziness from Mad Ferret.

Take a look at the website for the complete two day programme.
