Last month we informed you that pop up bar specialists The Hedonist Project had established its first permanent venue, at the former Wok On site in Lower Briggate. Now we're just weeks away from the site opening in its first incarnation: The Liquor Store & Whisky Parlour

This latest venture, which follows Hogarth's Gin Joint and The Rum Shack, sees The Hedonist Project team up with drinks company Diageo, enabling The Liquor Store & Whisky Parlour to serve more than 60 brands of fine whisky.

The bar, set to launch later in November, will be open from 10am to 11pm, and will also serve unique cocktails, tapas and brunches. Plus, there'll be the opportunity for whisky tasting sessions, and special evenings pairing liquors and food. It'll even be an off license, too.

The finishing touches to the bar are being completed now – you can keep up to date with developments here.
