This fine square is a multi-functional live event venue with a standing capacity of 8,000 people when laid out for a concert. The square is home to events such as the Leeds Big Screen and the popular annual Christkindelmarkt German Christmas Market and the Ice Cube outdoor temporary ice rink plus major sport screenings.
The square is also widely used for various community based celebrations, charitable and commercial events and promotions staged throughout the year including St Patrick's Day, Vaisakhi and Leeds Pride celebrations, Leeds Half Marathon plus other high profile events such as live outdoor music concerts.
