No, it’s not a remake of the Tom Cruise blockbuster; the title refers to the ‘mix of emotions’ these characters experience. Set in London, we meet Indian female flatmates Veronica (Deepika Padukone) and Meera (Diana Penty). Soon Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) moves in with them. As the trio have a blast, friendship turns into a love triangle. Will it end in tears? The film adopts a light approach. The humour is juvenile (erection jokes!), but does bring a smile to the face. The beautiful leads try their best to give credibility to the bold (for Indian audiences) plot. It shakes up the Bolly-formula but ultimately fails to stir the emotions: this cocktail is more virgin than bloody Mary.Author: Anil Sinanan
