Goodbye, Norma Jean
Time Out saysManaging the feat of holding its nose and leering at the same time, this 'biopic' mixes scurrility and a token feminism with rock-bottom production values. 'Not legend, nor the way she told it, this is how it was' promises the introduction, thereby allowing for a highly speculative hour-and-a-half about Marilyn Monroe's early career on the casting couch. Even the sustained loathing of men ('That's the last cock I'll ever have to suck' are the film's final words) is diluted by the presence of an unlikely father-figure producer who takes Marilyn's career in hand. Misty Rowe fails spectacularly as a reincarnation of Monroe.
