This one could be interesting. Aaron Eckhart plays Frankenstein's monster (here renamed Adam), who becomes caught up in an ancient conflict between two immortal armies battling for dominance over the earth. With Bill Nighy allegedly playing one of Satan's original dark angels and Miranda Otto as 'the queen of the gargoyles', this sounds like Milton meets 'Underworld', with a powerful dash of gothic horror. It could be awful (remember 'Van Helsing' or 'Legion'?) or it might be genuinely fantastic. Either way, expect buckets of CGI and loads of shouting. Director Stuart Beattie is the Australian helmer behind 2010's semi-succesful teen drama 'Tomorrow, When the War Began', though he's probably best known for co-writing the original 'Pirates of the Caribbean' script.Release details
