This Leicester-set, food-themed comedy unfolds within the Indian community of Leicester and is written and directed by Amit Gupta ('Resistance'), who was raised within the same Leicester community he depicts. 'Jadoo' tells of two brothers, chefs, who fall out badly and rip up the family recipe book: one of them gets the starters and the other gets the main courses, and they then set up rival restaurants on different sides of the same street. The brothers are forced to deal with the situation when their sister, a London lawyer planning her wedding to someone from a different ethnic background, is determined to bring them back together. The credits list includes Madhur Jaffrey among the cast, so the film's cooking credentials already look spicy hot.Release details
