Murder, He Says

Time Out says
A black farce with MacMurray as a public opinion pollster trapped in the backwoods home of a crazed hillbilly family while looking for a colleague who has disappeared. The family is alarming enough, with whip-cracking Ma (Main), half-witted twin giants with a gleeful taste for torture (Whitney), and murderous shenanigans which make Cold Comfort Farm look like child's play; but there's also a ferocious pistol-packin' mama newly busted out of jail (Walker), only she turns out to be a nice girl looking for the loot everyone is fussing about so that she can clear her innocent dad. Not always as subtle as it might be, but beautifully acted (MacMurray especially), nicely timed by Marshall, and really very funny.Author: TM
