Time Out says

Despite inheriting his old man's millions, rag magnate Gregson still counts every penny, so much so that fiancée Stephen turns down his marriage proposal, unable to face a life of drudgery as his replacement housekeeper. Rejection leaves the moneybags skinflint to drag his sorrows down to London, where Cup Final night throws him together with gold-digging chorus gal Ruthine West (Dors) who knows a good thing when she sees it. Cliché piles on cliché in this moderate '50s comedy spun out from a novel by Derrick Boothroyd.
