Proudly describing itself as 'the UK's only museum devoted solely to the hatting industry', Hatworks is a quaint experience, displaying machinery and memorabilia from local hatting factories (once the town's prime trade, hence Stockport County FC's nickname of the Hatters).
A second floor is crammed with headwear donated by everyone from Vivienne Westwood to Fred Dibnah, plus there's an extensive family area where kids can play dress-up.
